Version 1.34 The Pharma Release

Woo! It's that time again.

I'm a little dizzy at the moment, so forgive the exuberance. There's tons of exciting stuff for you with this release, and also some other exciting stuff. At least half of my plans for the last month totally changed, but I think it worked out quite well! Let's jump into some of the stuff.

First: We're working on expanding the new avatar even further. Unfortunately despite the work invested, the art itself won't be ready until the 1.35 release (fingers crossed). This update will include all sorts of things: lighter areola/nipples for non-pregnant characters (the current shade will be for pregnant characters), jewelry, piercings including nipples and belly button, breastmilk leak and spray, and... clothing. We're aiming to have a good selection of clothes available, based on the in-game styles and paper doll. We're also using a neutral color spread so we can do tonal modifications (hue, saturation, luminosity) on the fly and represent the various clothing colors, without every item being the exact same color. Doing proper color adjustment is a lot more work than the usual hue rotation slider you see in some other text-based games I can think of, but the results are much better so it's worth it. We'll also have bulges and such, along with things like cum on panties and whatnot. We may have to make a few style concessions for the tops (particularly bras) due to all the breast sizes, but I think we'll be able to get some good-looking stuff.

Second: We've added a new member to the Arcanist team! This brings us back up to three full-time people (plus me) after we let our Unity developer zPoly go (details on that can be found here). A big thanks to all of you who contribute money, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be able to tempt all these people into dubious careers in adult game development. Our new person is a dedicated writer, and she'll be working primarily on AW to help add content even faster. We call her Misa; she has years of experience working in game development and we have high hopes. In fact, she actually wrote a tiny bit of content this week, just testing as she gets set up and learns the lore. It's a small addition for the spa at the Lake Clitea Resort.

As far as stuff goes, I started on one thing needed to finish the Ruttin' Roulette event, and somehow ended up going sideways with all the other stuff going on... so now you've got a bunch of new mutations, a new drug, cheat stuff, and a new cybernetic implant. The plan for the next few months is to clean up loose ends (like unfinished content) and get the hucow experience done. After that we'll do the next big vote for the subject of our next expansion, and while that's going on we'll add more content to the hucow experience where it seems to be needed and probably add some more interconnection with normal play.

Some bug fixery, otherwise nothing too special. Going at things full steam for 1.35 though, I'm already dreading the work to get the super-avatar ready in time for release after New Years... but to be honest, I'm not certain our artist will finish in time. Lower body for sure, but we'll see. This kind of thing is a lot more work just to describe and worth through than the usual, with more questions and everything. She's doing great though, and it's better to focus on quality than try and rush things. I'll share a quick preview image from earlier in the week :D
